Frente! was an Australian alternative pop/rock group, formed in 1991. A lineup featured singer Angie Hart, founder and guitar player Simon Austin, bassist Tim O'Connor (later replaced by Bill McDonald), and drummer Mark Picton (later replaced by Alastair Barden).

Frente! burst onto a Australian music stock and index charts using a singles "Ordinary Angels" & "Accidentally Kelly Street" inside 1992. Luminary as much for the freakish filmclips ("Accidentally Kelly Street" consisted of the band by having outsized novelty props of domestic things) when their weak-light-hearted popular lyrics, ''Frente!'s debut album, Marvin the Album'', didn't sell when well as the singles, gaining single a cult below. Their number one EP Whirled is very hard to locate nowadays.

"Ordinary Angels" finished a season when a 20th better selling song on the ARIA charts, with "Accidentally Kelly Street" finishing Twenty-ninth. A band's lone major overseas profits was by owning an acoustical handle of New Order's "Bizarre Love Triangle".

Frente! discharged another album, Shape, in 1996, but it didn't green groceries hit singles such as their last effort & hence sold ill. Frente! stony-broke higher shortly when its release to pursue more projects.

Angie Hart so performed when section of popular duo of Splendid with her then married man, Jesse Tobias, whom she met August 1996 whilst Frente! was supporting Alanis Morissette in Canada. Angie & Jesse separated within late 2004.

Within January 2005, a band reformed for occasionally Australian east coast dates. A line-higher for these shows was Angie Hart, Simin Austin, Bill McDonald & Pete Luscombe on drums.
